The French round "Le coucou"--the cuckoo answers the owl:

    Dans la forêt lointaine,
    On entend le coucou.
Du haut de son grand chêne
    Il répond au hibou:

    "Coucou, coucou..."

    tr:

    In the distant forest
    you can hear the cuckoo.
From the top of his tall oak
    he answers the owl:

    "Cuckoo, cuckoo..."

Since you're asking us, I'm assuming that either you don't know about or haven't checked the Digital Tradition folksong database at mudcat.org, where you can do subject searches.

_Sing Out!_ magazine has an online index of all the sheet music they've ever published. I don't think you can do a subject search there, per se... I have dialup and not much memory, so it's too slow a process for my taste, and so I'm not very familiar with it. But you might have either more patience or more broadband capacity than I...
